I have been practicing family law in Wisconsin since 2005. I represent parties throughout their divorce and post-divorce situations, as well as in non-marital cases. I act as Guardian ad litem extensively in Northwestern Wisconsin. I serve as both a court appointed and private mediator in family cases. I devote the other half of my practice to criminal defense. Counseling people through family change and criminal allegations require very similar skills. Advocating for people accused of crimes through the criminal justice system, whether that be through common sense plea negotiations or extensive litigation and jury trials is personally and professionally invigorating—but more importantly, it’s everyone’s right to have such representation. I pride myself on providing honest, compassionate and thorough representation in all areas of my practice.
I also assist Pierce County by acting as Supplemental Court Commissioner. (I don’t get to wear the black robe, but I do like sitting on the bench!)
I am the mother of three–twin boys, one with severe autism, and a daughter. I am married and own my firm in Northwestern, WI. My husband works with me as a paralegal in addition to other attorneys and staff. I volunteer for youth and community organizations throughout our geographic area. I enjoy watching my kids play sports, laughing with friends, culinary adventures, traveling with my husband and spending time outside.
